Tech Community Nepal Interacts with IT Role Model Dixanta Bahadur Shrestha

On October 30, 2020, at 5 PM (+5.45), Tech Community Nepal conducted its 5th Episode of IT Talk Series with Mr.  Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha, Owner and Founder at Creators Institute of Business and Technology which is an IT institute that has trained many students on the field of IT to secure their career on the top of their degree. He is also Founder at Girls in Technology motivating the girls to come in this field.

In this episode, The Presenter the Director of Tech Community Nepal Mr. Prabin Baral interacts with Mr.  Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha, then dig deeps on the scope, possibilities and challenges in IT in Nepal.

What brought Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha in IT?

Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha was very innovative from his early days of his schooling in Computer. He migrated to Australia more than a decade earlier studied Bachelor’s in information technology from Ballarat University which is now known as Federation University Australia. Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha states that he completed his bachelors level degree and went back to the home country with passion of doing something in IT for the younger generations. Currently as mentioned above, he is owner and founder at Creators Institute of Business and Technology which is an IT institute that has trained many students on the field of IT to secure their career on the top of their degree. He is also Founder at Girls in Technology motivating the girls to come in this field.

Journey in Australia and Study

Dixanta Bahadur Shrestha mentioned on the program that it was not that easy of the journey that he could have experienced during his stay in Australia. He also added on the top of the struggle there were many more things that he learned during the stay here in Australia. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Ballarat University. He then stayed for few years, gained some exposure and went back to home country with a vision to contribute in IT.

Challenges to start-up after leaving Australia:

Once he left Australia, Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha didn’t start up his business straightway. He first got employed and developed the personal relations with the top companies in Nepal. After gaining some exposures over there for few years, he started his own company from last 2-3 years.

How it feels to be a Role model in IT for many students?

Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha expresses the happiness over this, and he hope that he could continue contributing on the younger generations in IT. From outside, Tech Community Nepal feels the value of his contribution of Dixanta to the younger generations where many students have secured the career due to this guy in the frame, Dixanta Bhadhur Shrestha. The students of CIBT are now employed in the different corners of the globe, not limited to Nepal and enhancing their career on IT.

Girls in Technology and its work:

Dixanta Bahadhur Shrestha is also Founder at Girls in Technology motivating the girls to come in this field. Girls in Technology is conducting many awareness program as well as training in the form of internships to settle their career in this sector.

Dixanta backs overseas students to come over Nepal

Dixanta Shrestha talking to the programs mentioned its up to the individuals to make a decision whether to stay overseas or return to home country. But at the same time, he recommends coming back as there are enough opportunities back home in the sector of IT.

Is there enough challenge in IT after COVID 19?

Dixanta mentioned that there is impact over all the industry due to the COVID 19, but he also added that if there is any minimal impact that a business is going through are the IT companies and businesses. He also said that there are opportunities that we see do come are due to the crisis. Difficult period creates opportunities and there are possible chances that one could make most out of it.  He also concluded stating that technology can be integrated at many businesses such as hospitality, medicals, agriculture and many more. Dixanta is also a proud owner of Lisa Café which is also working as hospitality industry.
